so i was in bed catching up on trusted blogs last night and read this bed book post on dan's blog. So i fired up the E71, (awful camera) and snapped my current selection. A few in progress, a few not really happening. 'Growth fetish' is a fascinating view of an over consumed, unhappy society, still trying to shop its way to happiness. James Lovelock's new book is, well, quite depressing actually. 'Let my people go surfing' from Yvon, the Patagonia dude is awesome. And the Gooner is fanstastic, one eyed reading material, on a saturday night, post match, slightly merry. And the bed books has a flickr group, and its all Mike's idea.

the joy of birthdays/never judge a book...

its my birthday..another year and all that. celebrated it yesterday (sunday) due to the relentess pursuit of marketing communications. my mother presented me with a gift wrapped up in Playboy wrapping paper. you can imagine my mixed feeling of delight and utter fear, particularly with an assortment of family and friends sitting around the table enjoying sunday lunch at my friend Zim's excellent pub the easton
anyway thankfully there was nothing to be afraid of on opening it, apart from if you're a slug or a ladybird....

the issue i have here is what does this signify? i mean sure i've started tinkering with a kitchen garden this year but c'mon mother..a book about pest control? crikey there's still more rock n roll left in me yet...
