search and you will find?

well, often stuff you clearly weren't looking for. now and then i like to look at my blog stats, visitor numbers are certainly not rocking technorati and that's fine, (it's not why i do this, though don't get me wrong i love a comment or three) but i love seeing how some people find themselves looking at my blog in the search for something very very different and very specific. my post on virtual air hostesses last year is proving a popular one.

it's time for me to act on being tagged by dan. its a blog tag thing apparently... i've seen it going on. so you have to reveal 5 things about yourself and then tag 5 others. i'm not sure i know 5 others but i'll tag some bloggers i like to read.
anyway here goes..

1. i was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes about 6 years ago. that means i inject insulin 4 times a day which keeps me going. it's a definate life changer but all ok so far.

2. i've been a drummer, a singer and a dj. i've just discovered an old band demo when i was 16 which i'll post when i've worked out how to. i released one record in 1999 which made record of the week on the Radio 1 breakfast show and stormed into the national charts at number 76! promotional photo below (me in the front with the glasses!)

3. When i was 18 i was arrested in Montreal Canada crossing the border into the U.S. My visa had expired and I spent 3 days in immigration prison with a stowaway from ethiopia. I was deported. commonwealth my arse.

4. i got married in ibiza at Terry Thomas' villa

5. i love to bake cakes.

my life is too fast right now. looking forward to a christmas break. when you're working like a loon and with a little 'un at home it can be hard to find web time. time to read the blogs you like. find new stuff. then there's checking out new music and video and that. i stumbled across this clip of thom the don doing a stunning acoustic version of the clock via the ace ateaseweb. it's from the later with Jools show last friday night which i didn't see. didn't even know it was running. so i thank youtube and the blogs in my world which help me catch up with stuff i like and lead me to many new things. love it.
